"My portfolio site [login to view URL] went down right after I updated security in Hostinger. Since the crash I can’t reach either the front-end or the WordPress dashboard—only a 500-type error. This I used the AI recovery but to no benefit.

Key facts you’ll want to know:
• I do NOT have my own backup.
• I can log in to the Hostinger control panel (file manager, hPanel, phpMyAdmin, etc.) but not the WordPress admin area.


What I need from you:
1. Diagnose the root cause and bring the site fully online, preserving the existing design built last year with custom CSS and WordPress.
2. If Hostinger’s automated snapshots exist, restore the latest clean version; if not, recover the site from whatever files/database are still on the server.
3. Make sure all plugins, themes, and the core are updated and conflict-free, then reactivate security features without crashing the site.
4. Provide a simple, written hand-off outlining exactly what was fixed and how to avoid a repeat issue (including setting up a reliable backup routine inside Hostinger or via a plugin).
