"I'm seeking an experienced developer to create an inventory management program using Microsoft Webforms. The primary function of this program will be managing customer information related to orders.

Key Requirements:
- Must be built on Microsoft Webforms
- Main focus on managing customer information
- Ability to add new warehouse locations
- Permissions can be added per warehouse location
- Web Facing customer portal to add products to warehouses that they are added to
- Add the ability to add a billing note to transactions, and review these notes for billing

Ideal Skills and Experience:

- Strong understanding of Warehouse information management

We are looking to develop our own inventory application from scratch. This was submitted 4 months ago and the developer started to increase the cost as we reviewed the project. Please make sure that you ask as many questions as possible in order to understand the project scope.
We do have a small dev team, but they are currently on a project that will run until the end of the year. Our goal is to have the software written for a cloud installation, using web forms written in VB or C# and prefer to use MSSQL. We are flexible with database selections.
At the very minimal, we simply receive product to store in our warehouse and ship it to the customer or end user when requested. We are looking for barcoding of the locations as well as the products.

Our customers will be added to the database that should include all the customer information such as company address, city, state, zip, phone, altphone, fax, and notification email that we will use to send a notice when product is entered or shipped. It will also allow the customer to enter in what they want as a "Drop Shipping" address. This is the information that is placed on a shipping label if the customer wants us to ship the product directly to their customer.

Our warehouse has locations that are barcoded. When we receive a product, we bring up the customer in the database and then select the product from the database as well. We then enter in the quantity that we are receiving and take it to a warehouse location. When we store this, we scan the warehouse location and this assigns the product to the warehouse.

Customers need access to the system (via web) They need to access the system to view their inventory (not locations, just the quantity) and they should be able to add new products to the system. We allow them to add the products so that they send the product to our loading dock and it will already be in the system.

We want to allow the customers to request a shipment using the web portal. They can select the quantity that they want pulled and the location that it will ship to. Some customers will want us to ship this to their customers so a packing list should be printed that shows OUR customer's information as the shipped from address.

If a customer requests a shipment, they should be able to delete that order as well. Our request is that the order can be placed or deleted as long as our team hasn't selected the order for picking. Once the order is selected for picking, it locks the order and it can not be deleted. It can still be marked for deletion, but we may assign a cost to put the product back on the shelf.

We typically only take full skids of product to store in the warehouse. When the customer adds the product to the system through the web portal, they indicate how many items are on the skid. So we track these items using the quantity of the skid and how many skids we have stored in the warehouse, but we would like the opportunity to add additional quantities when necessary.

Currently, there is one inventory bay per product. This means that we do not store 2 different items into a warehouse location. We would like to look into changing that in the future so the development should be able to address this when or if that time comes.

There are costs assigned to pulling and stocking inventory. When an order is pulled, there needs to be a record created for billing. When an item is stored, there needs to be a record created for billing. At the end of each month, these bills need to be sent to the customer. We do want a bit of accounting programmed into this inventory application.

We do have several billing criteria that we would like to add, so a table that allows our admins to add these records and use a trigger to create the billing record would be best.

We do want this to be developed for MySQL or MSSQL and a Azure server will be created once the program is ready to test.

We are thinking of allowing a few of our customers to use this inventory application as their own, so we would want to setup company ID's that would proceed each entry that would keep the records isolated to the company that creates them
