"A filename error keeps popping up in my SharePoint add-in whenever a user tries to access a file. Uploads work normally, but as soon as the document is opened the add-in throws an error and the action fails.

This is strictly a functionality problem—permissions, data sync, and other features seem unaffected—so the focus is on locating the faulty code or configuration that triggers the error during file access and eliminating it without disrupting anything else in the site collection.

Here’s what I need from you:
• Diagnose the root cause of the filename error in the add-in (server-side or client-side).
• Apply and document a fix that restores normal file access.
• Verify the solution in my staging environment, then guide me through deploying it to production.

Please work directly in SharePoint Online/On-Prem (whichever the code indicates), using the standard SharePoint add-in model tools—CSOM, REST, PowerShell, or SPFx—as appropriate to the codebase.
