Project Title:
Build New GAF + Metal Roofing Estimation Modules for The Estimating Edge Platform

Project Overview:
We are a commercial roofing company looking to enhance our internal estimating capabilities by developing two new modules inside The Estimating Edge ecosystem:

GAF System Module – Built to support TPO, PVC, and multi-layer assemblies with accurate labor, material, accessories, fasteners, and detail items.

Metal Roofing Module – Standing seam, R-panel, custom trim packages, edge metal, and fastener logic mapped to real-world installation workflows.

We need a developer who understands construction/roofing takeoff logic AND can build custom modules, databases, and formulas inside Estimating Edge (or a similar estimating environment).

This is not a basic spreadsheet job — we need someone who can engineer a scalable, repeatable estimating module that our sales and project teams can rely on daily.

2. Metal Roofing Module

Standing seam assemblies

Trim library (gable, eave, valley, hip, ridge, transitions, curbs, gutters, etc.)

Panel labor logic with rib spacing and substrate types

Fastener logic (panel, clip, stitch, substrate)

Conditional formulas based on panel type, gauge, and substrate

Outputs compatible with existing Edge workflows

Required Skills

Prior experience building modules in The Estimating Edge (strong preference)

OR experience building takeoff/estimation engines for roofing, construction, or fabrication software

Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems

Ability to translate field workflows into logic-driven estimating formulas

Ability to document and train our team on module usage
