"My portal-style WordPress site needs a thorough refresh. I want the existing PHP templates reorganised and refined so the overall page structure feels cleaner and the header and footer match a more modern look. While we are in the code, I also want to introduce three new sections—News Blog, Job Board and Events—each powered by well-supported plugins you recommend.

Every plugin currently installed (security, SEO, e-commerce and the rest) must be upgraded to their latest stable versions. After that, the whole stack—WordPress core and the underlying PHP version—has to be raised to current releases, with regression testing to confirm nothing breaks on either the front end or the admin side.

You are free to suggest alternative plugins if they simplify maintenance or improve performance, provided they integrate smoothly with the existing theme.

Deliverables
• Updated PHP templates reflecting the new layout
• Fully upgraded and configured plugins, with deprecated ones replaced if necessary
• News, Jobs and Events sections set up and styled to match the site
