"PROJECT 1 — Preorder Functionality Using PreOrder Globo App

Overview
OnlyNY needs to implement preorder functionality for selected products and variants on their Shopify store. The store uses Shogun, Rebuy, and other third-party apps.

For this project, it is required that the developer use the PreOrder Globo | Back in Stock app to handle the preorder functionality. We are already using this app successfully on another client store and want to maintain consistency across brands.

Objectives
● Enable preorder functionality through the PreOrder Globo app.
● Update “Add to Cart” to “Preorder” on applicable products/variants.
● Display additional preorder messaging throughout the customer journey.
● Ensure full compatibility with Shogun templates, Rebuy widgets, and the existing theme.

Scope of Work
1. Install & Configure PreOrder Globo App
● Install the PreOrder Globo | Back in Stock app.
● Fully configure global and product-level settings.
● Ensure the app’s preorder logic:
○ Activates on both product and variant levels.
○ Works on standard theme templates as well as Shogun-built pages.
○ Is respected by Rebuy cart and upsell modules.

2. Button & Messaging Customization
● Ensure the app updates PDP buttons from “Add to Cart” → "Preorder" when enabled.
● Add or configure Preorder messaging (text will be provided) across:
○ Product pages
○ Cart/cart drawer
○ Checkout (within Shopify’s allowed customization areas)

● Confirm that messaging remains consistent even when multiple preorder and
non-preorder items are in the cart.

3. Integration & Compatibility Work
● Validate that the Globo app’s scripts do not conflict with:
○ Shogun custom page elements
○ Theme AJAX cart logic
○ Rebuy widgets or cart modifications

● Make any required theme adjustments (Liquid, scripts, or CSS) so the app displays and
functions correctly everywhere.

4. Testing
● Test preorder behavior across:
○ Desktop + mobile
○ Different product templates
○ Cart drawer + full cart
○ Rebuy upsells
○ Variant-specific setups

● Verify that all logic is triggered via the Globo app — no custom preorder code should be
added unless strictly needed for display fixes.

Deliverables
● Fully functional preorder setup using the PreOrder Globo app.
● All relevant product pages, cart flows, and upsell experiences updated with correct
preorder behavior & messaging.
● Documentation outlining:
○ App configuration settings
○ Any theme file adjustments
○ Steps for enabling/disabling preorder for future items" (client-provided description)
