"YourSKIN combines skin tracking, insight generation, routines, and dermat-backed product recommendations — which means the backend needs to be lightweight, structured, and smart from day one.

If you enjoy building systems that quietly power great user experiences, you’ll get a lot out of this role.

What you’ll work on (high-level)

- Build the backend for the YourSKIN MVP

- Structure user data, logs, and routines

- Create clean APIs for the mobile app

- Integrate essential external services

- Set up basic authentication + storage

- Straightforward, product-led backend work — no over-engineering.

What you should already know
Must-have

- Node.js (Express/Fastify) or Python (FastAPI/Flask)

- REST API fundamentals (routing, error handling, auth)

- Firebase/Supabase for DB + storage + authentication

- How to handle file uploads (images)

- Git + GitHub basics

Good to have

- Experience integrating external APIs

- Basic cloud deployment (Render, Railway, Vercel, etc.)

- Understanding of how mobile apps consume backend data

- Interest in AI integrations (using APIs, not training models)
