"Backend Migration Specialist (Firebase → Supabase)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced backend developer who can take ownership of migrating our existing backend infrastructure from Firebase to Supabase without affecting live operations. This role is critical for improving our scalability, flexibility, and long-term product stability.

You will be working on Lula, a real-time interaction platform connecting users with streamers through in-app calls, cross-app calls, push notifications, and integrated payment systems. The Lula ecosystem consists of two main apps:

Lula User App – Enables users to discover, connect, and interact with streamers via audio/video calls and in-app features.

Lula Streamer App – Provides streamers with tools to receive calls, manage earnings, track performance, and engage with their audience in real-time.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assess the current Firebase backend setup (Firestore, Auth, FCM, Cloud Functions, and Storage).

Design and execute a complete migration plan from Firebase to Supabase, ensuring minimal downtime.

Set up Supabase authentication, database schema, APIs, and real-time capabilities.

Migrate existing Firestore data to PostgreSQL (Supabase) securely and accurately.

Update backend logic, APIs, and integrations to work seamlessly with Supabase.

Ensure all app features (calls, payments, notifications, analytics) function correctly post-migration.

Collaborate with mobile app developers to update frontend code for Supabase integration.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure a smooth transition for both the User and Streamer apps.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience with both Firebase and Supabase.

Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and backend architecture.

Hands-on experience with authentication, database migration, and API development.

Familiarity with real-time communication protocols and push notification systems.

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage a high-impact migration project.
