"I want a browser-based application that lets me drag and drop 2D drawings—specifically DWG, DXF or PDF—and have it do the heavy lifting of quantity takeoff for civil work. As soon as a file is uploaded the system should read every layer, automatically recognise rebar, earthwork cut-and-fill zones and concrete areas, and then calculate the relevant areas, lengths and volumes.

Because the takeoff is meant to be semi-automatic, the detected elements must appear on screen so I can click and correct anything before the numbers are finalised. Once I confirm the quantities, the app applies live unit rates pulled either from an external API, scraped schedule of rates or my own rate library. The result should be a clear cost estimate and a bill of quantities that I can download in CSV, Excel and PDF.
