Project description:
"I have been working with the open-source “ScreenBuddy” project ([login to view URL]) and now want the entire codebase rewritten in modern Delphi 12, using the VCL framework, while preserving every data flow, timing nuance, and zero-copy technique used in the original C implementation. The goal is to keep the ultra-low-latency remote-control pipeline—Media Foundation capture, Direct3D-backed texture sharing, and the WCap protocol—behaving identically, just compiled natively in Delphi for Windows.
I already build the C version with MSVC; what I need is a one-to-one Delphi equivalent that I can open in Delphi 12, hit “Build,” and run without external setup beyond the stock Windows SDK. Where the original relies on Win32, WinRT, Media Foundation, or DXGI/D3D11 calls, translate those calls directly, leveraging the existing Delphi Windows and DirectX headers (or writing thin imports when they are missing). Project architecture, function names, threading model, and packet formats must stay intact so that mixed deployments (C host, Delphi client, and vice-versa) interoperate seamlessly.
Deliverables:
• Complete Delphi 12 VCL project and source mirroring all modules in the repository
• Unit tests or demo app proving capture, encode, network send/receive, and render paths remain sub-5 ms end-to-end on a standard desktop GPU
• Clear build notes highlighting any new .pas bindings you created for Media Foundation or Direct3D
I will run latency measurements with the original binaries and expect the Delphi port to match them within 5 %. If you are comfortable wrestling with low-level Windows APIs in Delphi and can demonstrate past Direct3D or Media Foundation work, let’s talk." (client-provided description)
