"I’m looking to expand vanilla Minecraft with a lightweight gameplay-enhancement mod that introduces a small but meaningful suite of magical items. The focus is on two item families I want to playtest on my private survival server:

• Wands / Staffs – craftable or loot-able weapons that cast abilities such as ranged fireballs, minor teleport, area-of-effect mining, or light placement. Each wand should consume durability or a custom mana item so balance stays close to vanilla pacing.
• Enchanted Armor – a full set that grants passive perks (speed boost, slow-falling, water-breathing, etc.) once the player equips matching pieces. I’d like the effects to be configurable via JSON so tweaks are easy after release.

Please build for the current Java Edition using either Forge or Fabric (whichever you’re most comfortable with) and keep the codebase tidy for future expansion. Deliverables are the compiled JAR, source code, model/texture assets, and a short README explaining installation, crafting recipes, and any config files.

I’ll test the mod in both single-player and a small multiplayer environment; it should run without crashes, play nicely with OptiFine, and avoid ID conflicts with popular modpacks. Once those checks pass, we’re done!" (client-provided description)
