"I’m ready to commission a full-featured Android quiz application that lets users either enjoy a casual general-knowledge game or enter a timed contest for leaderboard glory. Here’s what I need built:

Core flow
• On first launch, the user signs up or signs in with a mobile number and a one-time password (OTP). No email or social logins—mobile OTP only.
• After login, the home screen offers two clear paths:
 1. Simple Quiz – pick Easy, Medium, or Hard and start answering.
 2. Contest – join an active contest that follows the same multiple-choice format but records scores for a public ranking.

Gameplay
• All questions are multiple choice.
• Each session pulls randomized items from a question bank labelled by difficulty so no two games feel identical.
• At the end of any quiz, the user sees correct answers, an overall score, and sharable results. For contests, the score also posts instantly to a live leaderboard.

Design & UX
The interface should feel colorful and vibrant—bold palettes, playful animations, and snappy transitions while still keeping navigation intuitive.

Data & Admin
• Store questions, difficulty tags, and contest metadata in a database that I can update at any time without touching the code (Firebase Firestore or a similar managed NoSQL service is fine).
• A lightweight web-based admin panel (or integrated Firebase console rules) should let me add, edit, import, or deactivate questions and launch new contests.

Deliverables
• Android Studio project with clean, well-commented Kotlin or Java code.
• Cloud database setup and security rules.
• Admin interface credentials.
• Signed release APK plus install instructions.
• Short hand-off document explaining the code structure and how to upload new questions or start contests.

Acceptance criteria
1. A new user can register with just a phone number and OTP and reach the home screen in under a minute.
2. Question retrieval, scoring, and leaderboard updates work smoothly on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.
3. Switching question content from the admin panel reflects inside the app without redeployment.
4. UI meets the stated colorful aesthetic and renders correctly on phones running Android 8.0+.
