"I’ve just launched an online store and I want visitors who have pre-purchase questions to get instant answers without waiting for an email reply. The goal is a clean, on-brand live chat that appears on every product page, greets shoppers automatically, offers a short menu of pre-defined replies, and then routes them to a live agent if the automated suggestions don’t satisfy their query.

Scope of work
• Select and configure a chat platform that supports scripted replies ([login to view URL], LiveChat, Intercom, Zendesk Chat or a comparable tool).
• Style the widget to match my site’s colours, fonts, and tone.
• Build a concise decision-tree of sales-focused answers (shipping times, bulk discounts, sizing, etc.) that triggers before a human agent is notified.
• Embed the code on my e-commerce CMS and confirm it works smoothly on desktop and mobile.
• Provide a short hand-over document so my team can update canned responses and track chat history.

Acceptance criteria
• Widget loads in under two seconds on every page.
• Automated replies cover at least 80 % of common sales inquiries identified in our FAQ.
• Handoff to an agent requires no page reload and maintains full conversation history.
• Cross-browser tests (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) show no layout shifts or console errors.
