"Our IntelliJ-based automation framework (Cucumber + Java + Selenium WebDriver, built with Maven) has started reporting red where it should be green. Most of the noise comes from step definition errors, with a few stubborn XPath locators and the usual timing quirks. We run everything through a single Maven command, so once a test breaks it blocks the whole pipeline.

What I need you to do
• Pull the current project and review how the glue code, feature files, and runners fit together.
• Pinpoint and repair the failing step definitions.
• Verify every XPath locator still maps to the DOM; update if the application under test has drifted.
• Add or refine waits and other synchronization utilities so the suite is stable, yet keep the existing package structure untouched.
• We never added custom hooks, so feel free to introduce lightweight Before / After hooks only if they improve reliability without bloating the repo.
• Execute the full suite from IntelliJ and via mvn test to confirm green runs back-to-back.

Deliverables & acceptance
1. 100 % pass rate on my machine using mvn test.
2. No regressions introduced; framework structure and naming conventions stay intact.
3. A concise markdown note (one pager is fine) outlining what broke, how you fixed it, and where to look first if something slips again.
4. Up to one quick follow-up session (chat or call) to walk me through the changes.
