"I want a macro-enabled Word template (.dotm) that can automatically place a run of “---” dashes/lines whenever I leave empty space in a document. The logic is straightforward: clicking Start begins monitoring the cursor so each press of Tab or Enter lays down a clean, continuous dash line; clicking Stop pauses that behavior; clicking Delete Lines removes every dashed line the macro has generated.

All three commands must sit in their own custom group on the Home tab. I’d like custom ribbon icons that match familiar functional symbols: Start, Stop and a Delete Lines.

Deliverables
• A signed, production-ready .dotm file with well-commented VBA code.
• The ribbon customUI XML and any embedded icon assets.
• A short read-me explaining how to attach the template to existing documents and how to adjust dash length or character if needed.
