Project description:
"I want to commission a lightweight, browser-based vector graphics editor that behaves much like the familiar SVG playgrounds out there, but with a single-sign-on style connection to Dropbox through its Extension framework. My day-to-day workflow lives in the cloud, so the app has to open, save, and keep changes in sync with a user’s Dropbox account without any manual download / upload steps.
Core editing functionality I need inside the canvas:
• Basic drawing tools such as freehand/pen, line, and stroke settings.
• Shape manipulation: rectangles, circles, polygons, plus resize, rotate, path combine/split.
• Text objects with font, size, color and simple typography controls.
No shared cursors, comments, or live co-editing are required right now—the editor can remain single-user per session.
For the Dropbox side, please wire everything through the official Extensions SDK so that:
• A user can pick a .svg (or your defined JSON format) directly from Dropbox, edit, and save it back in place.
• The file stays versioned by Dropbox automatically; no separate version history inside the app is necessary.
• Silent delta syncing keeps the document current if the user reloads the page.
I am happy with vanilla JS plus a modern framework (React, Svelte, or similar) as long as the resulting bundle stays small and quick to load. The interface should feel at home inside any modern desktop browser and remain usable on tablets.
Deliverable: a deploy-ready web app with documented source, a short README on how to register the Dropbox Extension, and an exportable build I can host on my own domain. Integration tests proving that open → edit → save round-trips correctly will be the acceptance gate." (client-provided description)
