Project description:
"I need a small but reliable application that lets me tap into the microphone of a remote Windows computer in much the same way TeamViewer or AnyDesk lets you view a screen. My priority is to hear audio live and, when required, save a clean recording locally.
Key points
— Target platform is Windows only, so the installer and any supporting services should be tested on recent Win 10/11 builds.
— Permission management must be granular. I want to decide per-session whether the remote user can simply allow monitoring, allow recording, or deny access altogether. The workflow should be straightforward for less-technical users on both ends.
— Features I must have from day one: real-time audio monitoring with minimal latency, and an option to start/stop high-quality audio recording. Alert notifications or anything beyond those two items can stay out of scope for this first version.
Deliverables
• Signed installer (EXE or MSI) and any helper services/drivers.
• Simple host/agent interface for the remote machine plus a controller UI for my side.
• Source code or build instructions so I can keep the project alive long-term.
• Short PDF or Markdown guide explaining setup, connection flow, and how to adjust permissions.
Acceptance will be based on:
1. Connecting over the internet without manual port forwarding.
2. Live audio arriving with <200 ms delay on a typical broadband link.
3. Recordings saved in a common format (WAV or high-bitrate MP3) with zero audible artifacts.
If you have experience building remote-desktop style tools or low-latency VoIP solutions, this should be a quick win. Let’s discuss the best tech stack and any licensing constraints before we start." (client-provided description)
