"PHASE 1 (High Priority): ANDROID APP MODERNISATION

The Android app has not been updated in several years. The objective is to bring it up to current Play Store and Android SDK requirements.

Required work:

--Upgrade to the latest Android SDK + Gradle
--Replace deprecated APIs, libraries, and components
--Update notifications, storage, and background task handling
--Fix build issues and ensure compatibility with Android 10–14
--Test core user flows on multiple devices
--Prepare a signed AAB ready for Play Store submission
--Provide brief technical documentation of changes made
--Push all code into a Git repository that I control
