"My current PHP site is up and running, but a few areas need tightening so it performs faster and handles messages more securely.

First, the database queries that power the application feel heavy. I’d like you to review the existing code, identify obvious bottlenecks, refactor any un-indexed or redundant queries, and generally tune the logic so page loads and data calls are quicker and leaner.

On the contact page, I’m introducing reCAPTCHA to shut down spam. The form is already built, so you’ll just need to drop in Google’s reCAPTCHA (v2 or v3—whichever you think best fits the layout), handle the server-side verification, and ensure failed challenges never hit the mail script.

That script also has to switch over to authenticated SMTP. I have the host, port, username, and password ready; your job is to wire it up with SSL/TLS, test it end-to-end, and leave clear comments in the code so I can swap credentials later.

Finally, the admin panel lacks a proper “Delete User” option. Please add a secure deletion flow—confirm dialog, CSRF protection, soft-delete if you feel it’s wiser, and any cascade handling the database needs.

At the end I need:

• Updated source files with clean, documented code
• A short README outlining what you changed, where the key settings are, and any library versions you introduced
• Proof the form mails successfully through the new SMTP connection and that reCAPTCHA blocks bots
