Project description:
"I run a small B2B cosmetics manufacturing company and we’re ready to stop copying order details from our custom-built React portal into QuickBooks Online by hand. I need a new section inside the portal that talks directly to the QuickBooks Online API, creates the invoice the moment an order is confirmed, and immediately dispatches the invoice email to the customer.

Environment
• Front end: React
• Back end: Node/Express with PostgreSQL (already hosting our order data)
• QuickBooks Online account, OAuth keys and Sandbox ready

Scope of work
1. Build an integration layer (QuickBooks Online REST API or official SDK) that authenticates, pushes order data, generates the invoice, fetches the PDF link, and triggers QuickBooks’ native “send email” function.
2. Add an “Invoices” view in the portal that lists status (created, emailed, failed) and lets us manually resend if needed.
3. Map every order field—company name, bill/ship address, line items, tax, discounts—to the correct QuickBooks objects, with clear error handling and logging.
4. Supply clean, well-documented code plus a short hand-off session so my in-house developer can maintain it.

• Automatic email sending for every invoice generated.

Nice-to-haves (optional)
• Scheduled batch creation or template customization—flag if you can include these as extras.

Acceptance criteria
• A new order in the portal produces a matching invoice in QuickBooks within 30 seconds.
• Customer receives the QuickBooks-generated email with PDF.
• Invoice status updates visibly in the portal.
• Source code, .env sample, and README compile with “npm run start” on a fresh machine.
