"A round robin snooker tournament
When players have won a certain number of games (must be selectable) in the round robin they automatically go through to a knockout round, and players who have lost a certain number of games (also selectable) are eliminated. The program would then need to re-allocate remaining round robin games excluding these players who have "qualified" or been "eliminated".

I would just need a list of the qualified players that I can randomly allocate to positions in the knckout round - this part of the tournament is easy enough to run manually on a whiteboard.

I run this tournament at our snooker club which has 5 snooker tables. I currently track the results manually in an Excel spreadsheet and after each round (ie a round being 5 matches - one on each table) I manually select players for the following round (excluding qualified and eliminated players).

I also aim to have players play a similar number of games so I select the match-ups accordingly.

The event consists of 7 minute games (Blitz snooker) so the whole tournament is played in one evening." (client-provided description)
