"I need help wiring a cash-in module into an existing self-service kiosk. The hardware is already installed; what’s missing is the software layer that talks to the cash acceptor, validates notes, counts totals, and pushes the confirmed deposit to my backend API. The kiosk is strictly for cash deposits—no bill-pay, ticketing, or receipt printing—so the workflow can stay lean.

The job covers:
• Establishing reliable communication with the cash acceptor (USB or serial, MDB/CCNet SDK available).
• Polling, note validation, escrow release, and secure stacker logging.
• A callback that posts the final amount and transaction ID to my REST endpoint, together with any error codes.
• On-screen prompts for “Insert Cash,” “Counting…,” “Amount Accepted,” and clear fault messages when jams or counterfeit notes are detected.

I’ll provide the kiosk’s Windows 10 environment, device drivers, and API docs. Please bring experience with embedded payment peripherals and languages such as C#, Java, or C++. Once I can walk up, feed notes, see the balance update in the database, and recover gracefully from errors, the project is done." (client-provided description)
