Project description:
"I’m building a real-time Augmented Reality game designed specifically for next-generation AR glasses and I need an experienced Unity developer who knows XR interaction from the inside out. The goal is simple: create an engaging, replayable gaming experience that feels native to glasses—no phone screens or handheld controllers—so gesture recognition, spatial mapping, and smooth performance are priorities.
Here’s what I already have: a core game concept and initial 3D assets. What I’m missing is the technical link that turns those ideas into a polished build. You’ll be responsible for setting up the Unity XR pipeline, integrating AR Foundation (or your preferred toolkit if it delivers better results), and implementing gameplay loops that make full use of head-worn tracking, hand input, and environmental occlusion.
Key deliverables
• A playable proof-of-concept scene demonstrating gesture-based controls, spatial anchoring, and at least one complete game mechanic
• Optimised build targeting my chosen AR glasses SDK (details supplied after NDA)
• Clear, well-commented C# scripts and a concise setup guide so I can iterate on content without breaking core systems
Acceptance criteria
• Stable 60 FPS on device with dynamic lighting and occlusion enabled
• Accurate hand or controller-free interaction with <2 cm positional drift over a five-minute session
• No editor errors or warnings on final commit
If you’ve shipped AR games—or any AR application—on glasses before and can prove it with a demo or repo, I’d love to see your work. Let’s create something that makes players forget they’re wearing hardware at all." (client-provided description)
