Business Client need Web Development

Contact person: Business Client

Email:Show

Location: Seattle, United States

Budget: Recommended by industry experts

Time to start: As soon as possible

Project description:
"1. Magento 2 Storefront & Theme
• Custom Magento 2 theme tailored for a luxury/bespoke menswear brand.
• Clean, modern, high-end aesthetic (think SuitSupply / InStitchu / Indochino level).
• Fully responsive and optimised for desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Smooth, app-like UX from configurator → cart → checkout (no clunky page reloads).

2. Real-Time 3D Configurator (Suits, Shirts, Overcoats)
• WebGL/[login to view URL] or similar tech for a 3D, real-time product visualisation.
• Customers can tweak all key design elements and see changes instantly, including but not limited to:
• Fabric (shell & contrast)
• Lining
• Buttons
• Button stance & buttonhole colour/accents
• Lapel style and width
• Pockets, vents, cuffs
• Trouser details (pleats, side adjusters, cuffs, etc.)
• Placket style / collar style (for shirts)
• Embroidery / monogram placement & colour
• Separate, consistent configuration flows for:
• Two-piece / three-piece suits
• Dress shirts
• Overcoats
• You’ll receive an Excel sheet with all options, dependencies and pricing rules. These need to be mapped into Magento attributes / product configurations and into the configurator logic.
• Performance is critical: rendering must remain fluid while users flip quickly through options, including on mobile.

3. Existing 3D Shoe Configurator Integration
• I already have a 3D shoe configurator (web-based).
• You’ll need to integrate this into the Magento store so it:
• Uses Magento products/pricing.
• Feeds into Magento cart/checkout.
• Shares the same account system and order flow.

Product & Catalog Requirements

4. Fabric Library Management (10,000+ fabrics)
• Back-office tool for managing a large fabric library (eventually 10,000+ fabrics: summer/winter, wool/linen/cotton, etc.).
• Ability to:
• Add new fabrics (image + metadata) without touching code.
• Retire/disable fabrics.
• Tag fabrics by season, weight, pattern, brand, price tier, etc.
• Fabrics must be easily mapped to:
• Suit shell / contrast
• Linings
• Overcoats
• Shirts
• Smart search & filter in admin (e.g., by pattern, colour, mill, season).

5. Multiple Product Types
• Bespoke / configurable garments via 3D configurator.
• Ready–made items, such as:
• Off-the-rack suits / shirts / overcoats
• Accessories: socks, ties, pocket squares, belts, etc.
• Category pages with:
• Layered navigation (size, colour, fabric, price, etc.)
• Cross-sell & upsell sections (e.g., tie & pocket square suggestions for a specific suit).

Customer Account & Measurement Features

6. Measurement Profiles & Saved Designs
• Users can create an account and:
• Save body measurements (multiple profiles if possible: “Work suit”, “Casual fit”, etc.).
• Save multiple configured products (“My Designs” / “Wardrobe”) and come back later to edit or order.
• Measurement entry with:
• Optional measurement guide (tooltips/images/video placeholder for future).
• Optional “notes” per profile (e.g., shoulder imbalance, posture notes).

7. Order Tracking & Production Stages
• After ordering a bespoke garment, customers should see detailed production status, not just shipping.
• Admin can update stages for each order, such as:
• Order received
• Pattern drafting
• Cutting
• Stitching
• Quality control
• Ready for shipping
• Shipped
• Delivered
• This tracking should be visible in the customer account and optionally via email notifications.

Checkout, Payments & Integrations

8. Checkout & Payments
• Streamlined checkout with minimal friction.
• Integration with popular payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, major credit cards).
• Support for:
• Discount codes
• Gift cards (if feasible)
• Store credit / loyalty in future (design with extendability in mind).

9. Shipping & Taxes
• Basic shipping setup (zones, rates) for launch; structure should scale to international shipping.
• Tax handling for at least one primary region (we can define during the project).

Performance, SEO & Tech Quality

10. Performance & Scalability
• Configurator must be fast and optimised:
• Efficient loading of 3D assets / textures.
• Lazy loading where appropriate.
• Good Lighthouse/Web Vitals scores.
• Codebase should be modular and maintainable for future growth (adding new product types, more 3D options, etc.).

11. SEO & Analytics
• SEO-friendly structure, slugs and meta fields.
• Integration with Google Analytics / GA4, Google Tag Manager and Facebook Pixel.
• Proper event tracking for key actions (configurator interaction, add-to-cart, checkout steps).

12. Security & Best Practices
• Hardened Magento setup with standard security best practices.
• Clean, well-documented code (no hacked-together spaghetti).

Admin & Content Management

13. Admin / Back-Office
• Clear instructions and UI for:
• Adding/retiring fabrics.
• Managing measurement fields and optional input rules.
• Managing product options & dependencies.
• Updating production stages for each order.
• CMS pages for:
• About, FAQs, Measurement guide, Shipping & Returns, Contact, etc.
• Basic blog/news module (optional but nice to have).

Timeline & Deliverables

14. Timeline
• Target: Usable, production-ready build in ~4–8 weeks.
• I’m open to a phased rollout (e.g., launch with suits first, then shirts/overcoats) as long as the plan is clear.

15. Final Hand-Off
• Full Magento project source code:
• Custom theme
• Any custom modules
• Configurator front-end & integration code
• Documentation:
• How to add/retire fabrics
• How to create new product configurations/option sets
• How to manage measurement profiles & order-status stages
• How to deploy to staging/production

What I’d Like to See in Your Proposal

Please include:
1. Portfolio links to:
• Live 3D/interactive product configurators you’ve built (ideally on Magento, but other platforms are OK as reference).
• Any high-end fashion or luxury e-commerce projects.
2. A short technical overview:
• How you’d build the 3D configurator (tech stack: WebGL/[login to view URL], etc.).
• How you’d structure the fabric library and performance optimisation.
3. A rough timeline broken into milestones (e.g., setup, core configurator, fabric library, account & tracking, QA, launch).
4. Your estimated budget range for the initial 4–8 week build.
5. Whether you can offer ongoing support/maintenance after launch" (client-provided description)
