Project Overview
I have a fully developed, currently live, and hosted Python-based chatbot and admin dashboard system. My goal is to officially publish this application on the public Shopify App Store.
I am facing challenges regarding the specific technical requirements for Shopify integration (OAuth, App Bridge, Billing API) and need an expert who can handle the re-engineering, submission process, and successful launch.
My Current System & Tech Stack
System Status: Live and operational with existing users.
Backend Language: Python
Hosting: Currently self-hosted (details provided to successful applicant).
Features: Chatbot logic, custom admin dashboard, database management.
The Problem I Need Solved
I need a developer who is proficient in both Python and Shopify App Development. This role is not just about uploading files; it requires architectural changes to meet Shopify standards.
The primary challenges are:
Authentication: Implementing the secure Shopify OAuth 2.0 flow correctly.
Integration: Using the Shopify Admin APIs to make the system function within their ecosystem.
Embedding: Integrating the existing dashboard UI seamlessly into the Shopify Admin using App Bridge.
Compliance: Navigating and meeting all App Store review guidelines for a successful publication.
Required Expertise
Shopify App Store Expertise (Mandatory): Must have a proven track record of successfully publishing public apps on the Shopify App Store.
Python Proficiency: Strong skills in Python backend development.
API Integration: Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth 2.0, and specifically the Shopify Billing API.
Compensation & Payment Terms
This is a performance-based, commission-only opportunity designed as a "win-win" partnership for a highly confident developer.
Payment Model: 50/50 Revenue Split for a specific period.
Payment Window: The 50% revenue share applies to all revenue generated during the first 7 days the application is officially live, approved, and generating sales on the Shopify App Store.
Expectation: My expectation is to achieve 100% bill approval during this initial launch week, ensuring a clean 50/50 split of generated revenue.
