"About Fusia Tech
Fusia Tech is building a SaaS platform for UK medical cannabis (CBPM) clinics and pharmacies, with three portals (clinic, patient, pharmacy) plus a clinical decision support system (CDSS).

We already have:

A tech team of 8 developers, with a dedicated tech lead

A full dev workflow and their own project lead

Dedicated UI/UX designers

Detailed system and feature documentation, with wireframes and user journeys in progress

A professor from Johns Hopkins on our advisory board

A medical director on our advisory board

A potential partnership with a US research company in the medical cannabis space

You are not replacing the dev team, PM or designers. Your value is communication, structure and reliability.

Role overview

We need a part-time technical liaison whose main job is to act as a calm, structured buffer between the founder and the dev team.

The founder has designed the system in depth and gives detailed feedback. You will:

Understand intent from existing documents and conversations

Join key calls with the tech team

Translate the founder’s feedback into clear, respectful, actionable input

This is a communication-heavy role. You should understand modern web apps, but this is not a pure coding job.
You must be reliable: if a call or time is agreed, you show up, or give clear notice in advance.

Trial period (first 2 weeks)

We start with a capped trial: up to 4 hours per week. By the end of the trial, we should both know if the fit is right.

Week 1 – Getting up to speed

Onboarding call with founder (approx. 1 hour)

High-level walkthrough of the three portals and CDSS

Agree which documents to review first

Read core docs (approx. 1.5 hours)

System overview and key portal overviews

Join one tech call (approx. 1 hour total)

Gather founder feedback before the call

Represent that feedback calmly on the call

Send a short written summary of decisions and actions afterwards

Week 2 – Start adding value

Review selected feature/epic docs related to current design work

Review relevant wireframes/user journeys with the founder

Turn founder feedback into:

Clear written comments for ClickUp / Figma

Short outlines for specific areas (for example inventory, wearables, modularity)

Join the weekly tech call again and summarise key outcomes

If the trial goes well, we continue on the same pattern with a clear weekly cap.

Ongoing responsibilities

Once up to speed, you will:

Join regular video calls with the dev team and their project lead as the founder’s representative

Review user journeys and wireframes, discuss them with the founder, and relay calm, actionable feedback

Turn detailed or emotional founder feedback into clear tickets, comments and next steps

Ask clarifying questions when something is unclear or off-spec, rather than guessing

Summarise key decisions and actions after calls so everyone knows what is agreed

Flag misunderstandings or risks early and help keep communication steady during the build

If you just want to write code and avoid people, this is not the right role.

Requirements

Solid understanding of modern web application development

Comfortable talking about APIs, data models, authentication, modularity, environments, etc.

Experience working directly with developers and a PM / founder on software projects

Strong written and spoken English; confident on video and in Slack-style communication

Proven ability to read and absorb documentation and work from it

Calm, diplomatic style; able to de-escalate and keep conversations focused on solutions

Comfortable working part-time with a founder and accurately representing their intent to a dev team

Highly reliable and responsive:

Keep to agreed times for calls and deadlines

Communicate early if anything changes

Available for short scheduled calls in UK daytime / early evening (including a regular weekly tech call)

Nice to have

Experience in a regulated domain (healthcare, insurance, banking, medical devices, etc.)

Experience with tools like ClickUp/Jira and Figma

Background as a developer, tech lead or technical PM who enjoys communication and structure more than full-time coding

Remote, part-time

Immediate start (onboarding by end of today or Monday morning, if possible)

Initial cap: up to 4 hours per week for the first two weeks, then review
