"About Fusia Tech

Fusia Tech is building a SaaS platform for UK medical cannabis (CBPM) clinics and pharmacies. We have three portals (clinic, patient and pharmacy) plus a clinical decision support system (CDSS), with a lot of system design and documentation already done.

We already have:

A full dev team with their own project lead

Dedicated UI/UX designers

Wireframes and user journeys in progress for all three portals (expected to be completed in the next few weeks), then moving into UI and build over the next ~6 months.

You are not replacing the dev team, PM or designers.

Role overview

We are looking for a part-time technical liaison whose main value is communication and acting as a calm buffer between the founder and the dev team.

The founder has designed the system in depth and can give detailed feedback. Your job is to understand the documentation and what the founder wants, then translate that into clear, structured, respectful communication with the dev team and their project lead.

You should be technical enough to follow web app concepts, but the core of the role is people, clarity and stability, not heavy coding.

What you will do

Read and understand existing documentation (system overview, portal flows, CDSS, inventory, etc.) and be able to summarise it back clearly

Join regular video calls with the dev team and their project lead as the founder’s representative

Review wireframes and user journeys, discuss with the founder, and relay calm, actionable feedback to the dev team

Translate detailed / emotional feedback from the founder into clear tickets, comments and next steps

Ask good clarifying questions when something in the design or implementation is unclear or off-spec

Summarise key decisions and actions after calls so everyone knows what is agreed

Flag misunderstandings or risks early, and help keep communication steady over the next 6 months of build

The main value of this role is communicating and acting as a calm buffer. If you just want to write code and hate dealing with people, this is not the right role.

Requirements

Solid understanding of modern web application development (enough to talk sensibly about APIs, data models, auth, modularity, etc.)

Experience working directly with developers and a PM / founder on software projects

Strong written and spoken English; confident on video calls and in Slack-style comms

Proven ability to actually read and absorb documentation and work from it

Calm, diplomatic style – able to de-escalate and keep conversations focused on solutions

Comfortable working part-time with a founder, taking their intent and representing it accurately to the team

Nice to have

Experience in a regulated domain (healthcare, insurance, banking, medical devices, etc.)

Experience with tools like Jira / ClickUp and Figma

Background as a developer, tech lead or technical PM who enjoys communication more than full-time coding

Practical details

Remote, part-time (a few hours per week, with a clear weekly cap)

Must be available for calls in UK daytime / early evening
