"Project Overview

We are launching new paid Meta campaigns and require a complete Meta Pixel, Domain Verification, and Server-Side Conversions API (CAPI) setup for accurate tracking and optimisation.
This setup must be implemented through Google Tag Manager (GTM) using both Web and Server-side containers.

We are looking for an experienced tracking specialist or analytics engineer who has proven experience with Meta CAPI + Server-Side GTM setups.

Objectives

Install and configure Meta Pixel on the website (via GTM)
Verify domain inside Meta Business Manager
Set up a Server-Side GTM container
Configure DNS for server-side tagging endpoint
Implement Meta Conversions API through Server-Side GTM
Ensure all critical events track correctly with deduplication
Test and validate performance inside Meta Events Manager

Required Deliverables
1. Meta Pixel Installation (Web GTM Container)

Install Pixel via GTM

Set up PageView on All Pages

Ensure pixel loads correctly across site

2. Domain Verification

Verify:

DNS TXT record
HTML upload
Meta Tag verification

3. Server-Side GTM Container Setup
Create a new Server-Side GTM container
Deploy via Google Cloud or custom domain
Recommended endpoint:

Ensure web → server event forwarding is working

4. Conversions API (CAPI) Implementation
Using Server-Side GTM:
Install Meta CAPI tag
Add Pixel ID + Access Token (provided by client)
Map browser → server events (deduplication required)
Pass all required parameters (event_id, IP, UA, fbc, fbp, value, currency, etc.)

5. Event Configuration

Events required:
PageView
ViewContent
Lead (enquiry / form submission)
AddToCart (if applicable)
Purchase (if applicable)
Each event should include:
event_id
event_time
event_source_url
client_ip_address
client_user_agent
custom data (value, content_ids, currency etc.)

6. Testing & Validation

The freelancer must verify:
Pixel firing properly on all pages
Server-side events received
Browser + server events deduplicate correctly
Domain verified
Events appear in Meta Events Manager
No duplicate event firing
All GTM containers published and working
Deliver a short testing video or screenshots to confirm.
