"1. Project Overview

This RFQ is for the development of an Android application that will display real-time data sent by an IoT device installed in cold storage rooms.
The device will transmit data to a cloud server using Wi-Fi.
The Android application will fetch all data from the server (REST APIs) and show it to the user.



2. User Structure

2.1 Owner Account
• One owner can log in.
• One owner may have multiple cold storage locations.
• Each location may have 100–200 rooms.
• Each room will have one IoT device.



3. Data Parameters from Device

The app must display the following parameters received from the server:
• Temperature (°C)
• Humidity (%)
• Door Status (Open / Closed)
• Alarm Output Status
• Power Cut / Power Available Status
• Device Online/Offline
• Last Updated Time





4. Android App Functional Requirements

4.1 Login & Authentication
• Login using phone/email + password
• OTP verification for registration (API to be provided or developer to suggest service)
• Forgot password option

4.2 Dashboard
• List of all locations under the owner
• Each location shows:
• Total rooms
• Number of rooms with alerts
• Number of devices offline

4.3 Room View

Each room should show:
• Temperature value
• Humidity value
• Door status (Open/Closed)
• Alarm status
• Power cut status
• Device online/offline
• Color-coded alert indicators
• Last data update timestamp
• Option to open detailed room view

4.4 Detailed Room View
• Display all real-time parameters
• Historical data view (Temperature & Humidity charts)
• Alerts history
• Optional export (CSV/PDF) – future scope

4.5 Notifications
• Push notifications (Firebase) for:
• High/Low temperature
• High humidity
• Door open too long
• Alarm ON
• Power cut detected
• Device offline

4.6 Management Features (Owner Only)
• Add/Edit/Delete:
• Cold storage location
• Rooms
• Assigning a device to each room
• Change room names
• Device ID mapping

4.7 Multiple Devices / Multiple Phones
• Owner can log in on multiple phones
• All phones must sync the latest data from server



5. Technical Requirements
• Platform: Android (minimum Android 9 / API 28)
• Backend communication: REST APIs (JSON)
• Server will store all data (device → server → app)
• Secure API communication (HTTPS mandatory)
• App should be optimized for low data usage and fast loading
• Clean and modern UI/UX
