"Project Title: Nonprofit Social Media Optimization Specialist (Hootsuite/Buffer Oversight) – 4-8 Hours/Month
About Cavikas
Cavikas is a nonprofit dedicated to teaching Argentine Tango for healing and connection to diverse groups, including seniors, cancer survivors, amputees, and individuals with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. Our mission is to use the transformative power of dance to enrich lives and build community.
The Need: Optimization, Not Management
We generate high-quality JPEG content (10–15 images/month) and post them to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We use an AI-enabled scheduling tool (Buffer, Hootsuite, or SocialBee) for content automation.
We require an expert for 4-8 hours per month (1–2 hours per week) to monitor, optimize, and ensure our content is effectively reaching new audiences and potential donors—not just our existing network.
Scope of Work (The Weekly Check-In)
The specialist will be responsible for a set of high-value tasks completed during the 1-2 hour weekly window:
1. AI/Content Quality Check (15 mins):
o Review AI-generated captions for tone, professionalism, and mission accuracy before publishing.
o Ensure all scheduled posts include the correct strategic hashtags for discovery.
2. Performance Optimization (30 mins):
o Analyze weekly post performance (reach, engagement, clicks on donation/link-in-bio).
o Adjust optimal posting times and refine hashtag sets to maximize visibility to new audiences and donors.
3. Engagement & Link Integrity (15 mins):
o Ensure all donation links and calls-to-action (CTAs) are functional.
o Quickly review the unified social inbox (or tool dashboard) for time-sensitive inquiries and flag them for the Cavikas team.
4. Troubleshooting (As Needed):
o Act as the technical resource for any issues with the scheduling tool, account disconnections, or platform updates.
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in social media analytics and optimization, with a focus on discovery and donor acquisition.
• Expertise with major scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or SocialBee) is required.
• Demonstrated experience in Nonprofit / Cause-Based Marketing and communicating sensitive health topics with respect.
• Ability to work independently and provide clear, concise weekly reports (verbal or email).
