Project description:
"Developing a wearable headband that uses Electroencephalogram (EEG) sensors to detect and help correct neural irregularities linked to Disorders is the core objective. The device should sit comfortably like a sports band, capture real-time brain-wave data, and feed it to an onboard or companion-app algorithm that guides users toward balanced activity—whether through audio-visual neurofeedback, gentle vibrotactile cues, or another evidence-based method you recommend.
The scope covers both hardware and software:
• Hardware: selection and placement of dry or semi-dry EEG electrodes, compact PCB layout, low-power wireless module (BLE preferred), battery management, and an enclosure design ready for 3-D printing or soft-textile integration.
• Firmware & Signal Processing: clean acquisition of alpha, beta, theta, and gamma bands, artefact rejection, and a real-time interface that flags imbalances with minimal latency.
• Companion Interface: prototype mobile or desktop app that visualises the data stream, logs sessions, and delivers the corrective feedback loop.
Acceptance will be based on a bench-tested prototype that reliably captures EEG signals, streams them to the demo interface, and demonstrates a repeatable feedback response when induced imbalance is simulated.
When you respond, focus on your experience with EEG hardware, bio-signal filtering, and neurofeedback algorithms. Links to prior prototypes or published work that prove you can take a concept from schematic to working demo will be most persuasive." (client-provided description)
