"I need a WordPress plugin that adds a lightweight gradebook module to my site. Students will sign in with their existing WordPress accounts; no separate credentials or SSO layer is required. Once logged in, they land on a dedicated dashboard that presents a 24-row by 45-column grid—essentially a large, scrollable table where every cell represents courses name, 3 types of grades, different title dates (to be provided), etc.

The plugin should spin up its own MySQL tables on activation, keeping data separate yet fully aligned with the WordPress table prefix. Core operations run in PHP, while AJAX-powered JavaScript makes every grade will be plsced maually. Security is critical, so please wrap all calls with proper nonce checks and capability tests.

Teachers or admins must be able to edit any cell directly in the grid and watch the change persist without refreshing. Students see the same table layout but in read-only mode, restricted to their own rows. Filters by student, assignment, or date range will help staff drill down quickly.
