"I need a simple yet polished Android application whose core purpose is task management. Users must be able to create, edit, and delete tasks and, most importantly, receive automatic reminders so nothing slips through the cracks.

The reminder engine should allow the user to pick a date-time for each task and trigger a push notification at the chosen moment, even when the app is in the background. A clean Material-style interface, local data persistence, and smooth performance on recent Android versions are essential.

I’m only prioritising the reminder feature for this first release, but I’m structuring the project so later we can plug in extras such as calendar integration or team collaboration without rewriting the core.

Please deliver:
• An installable APK for testing
• Full source code (Kotlin or Java) and concise build instructions
• Brief documentation showing how the reminder scheduling works

I’ll test the app on standard Android 11–14 devices and will sign off once tasks can be created and the notifications fire reliably at the scheduled times." (client-provided description)
