"The project is to build a full-featured, scalable social-networking web application from the ground up. This is a software-development engagement focused specifically on a web application, not mobile or desktop variants.

Core needs
• Account creation and secure authentication
• Personal profiles with editable bio, avatar and privacy settings
• Real-time feed for posting text, images and short videos
• Basic reactions (like, comment, share) and a direct-messaging module
• Responsive interface that works smoothly on modern browsers and mobile viewports
• Admin dashboard for user management, reported content and analytics
• Clean, well-documented codebase with set-up instructions and an architecture overview

Tech preferences
React or Vue on the front end, Node.js or Django on the back end, and a relational database such as PostgreSQL would fit well, but I’m open to alternative stacks if they can deliver the same performance, security and maintainability.

Acceptance criteria
1. User can register, log in and reset password securely (JWT or similar).
2. Posts appear instantly in the feed without a page refresh (WebSocket or polling).
3. All user actions persist to the database and survive reloads.
4. Basic automated tests cover critical paths (auth, post creation, messaging).
5. Deployment script or Docker setup allows me to launch the app in one command.
