Project description:
"Our live-service FPS is suffering a surge of hardware-based, DMA-powered cheats and I need deep technical insight to strike back. If you have dissected Counter-Strike, Valorant, Delta Force: Operation or PUBG from the kernel up, you already speak my language. Reverse engineering is the single most important skill here, but low-level programming and a working grasp of PCIe capture devices, FPGAs or similar DMA hardware are essential to connect the dots.
The immediate goal is to map out exactly how today’s DMA loaders bypass traditional anticheat, then translate that knowledge into practical counter-measures that we can deploy without degrading player experience. I’m concentrating on three areas: cheat detection, cheat prevention and a clear understanding of the evolving attack methods. Expect to work directly with crash dumps, memory snapshots and driver traces; tools such as WinDbg, IDA, Ghidra, PCILeech or similar will be in play.
Deliverables
• Technical report detailing every discovered DMA attack vector against our title, including proof-of-concept traces
• Prototype detection routine or driver hook that flags active DMA readers in real time (source code)
• Recommendations for preventive hardening—kernel, userland and hardware—ranked by implementation effort versus impact
I’ll review each milestone against demonstrable reproduction of the cheat technique and measurable detection or mitigation success on our internal test environment. If your experience matches the description above, let’s get started.
If you are a fraudster, do not contact me. This is highly technical work—do not come here to humiliate yourself." (client-provided description)
