"I’m building a stylised water system in Unity URP and need a specialist who can take the shader all the way from core feature set to drop-in use across four existing levels: Kamand, Riyagari, South, and Peepal.
Here’s the technical baseline I already have in place and expect you to refine and finish:
• Custom URP shader with Gerstner waves, depth-based colouring, Fresnel reflections and refraction, all driven by a flowmap for believable downstream motion.
• Foam is the priority: I want dynamic foam that springs up only where characters, boats or props disturb the surface, fading naturally as motion settles. Shoreline or continuous foam isn’t required unless you need a subtle base layer to sell the effect.
• Ripples must combine real-time GPU propagation with mesh-bound constraints so they respect riverbanks and pools without leaking across geometry seams.
• Interaction effects such as splash particles, collision ripples and global speed controls should hook cleanly into the ripple and foam logic.
• The final shader has to run smoothly on Quest 3; smart LOD, keyword stripping or other URP-friendly optimisation techniques are welcome.
Deliverable
A prefab-ready shader (plus any helper scripts, custom render features and textures) integrated into the four scenes above and committed via Unity 2022.3 LTS. A short markdown guide that covers exposed parameters, how to bake or edit the flowmaps, and any performance toggles will wrap the job. If everything in each scene looks, reacts and performs as described, I’ll consider the task complete." (client-provided description)
