"I’m building a pharmacy management tool that concentrates solely on inventory control. The core of the application should let me enter incoming stock, track every unit by its expiration date, and immediately flag anything that is about to go out of date. A clear, color-coded dashboard or report that tells me what will expire in 30, 60, and 90 days is a must.

Key workflow
• Receive stock, assign or scan the batch, and store its expiry date.
• Real-time inventory view sortable and filterable by expiry.
• Automated notifications (email and/or in-app pop-ups) for all products approaching the preset warning threshold—no manual selection, it should apply to every item.
• Simple export of current and projected wastage to CSV or Excel.

While this initial build is focused on inventory, I’d like the database schema and codebase structured in a way that leaves room for future modules such as prescription processing or sales billing. If you can outline how that scalability would work, that’s a plus.

Tech is flexible: a web app built with Laravel, Node, or Django is fine as long as it’s secure and easy to maintain. If you prefer a different stack, explain why it suits a pharmacy environment (audit trail, role-based access, backup).
