"Project Overview

The contractor will migrate the current static website to a responsive WordPress site using Elementor for design/layout and Yoast SEO for search engine optimization. The new site must match or improve upon the existing functionality, ensure full SEO retention (or improvement), and support marketing tools such as embedded email images and analytics

Tasks and Deliverables

2. Discovery & Planning

Task: Review and document the existing static site (content, structure, URLs, SEO metadata, functionality).
Success Criteria:
* Site audit delivered (includes pages, images, file structure, and SEO metadata).
* Stakeholder approval of new site layout/wireframes and sitemap.

3. WordPress Installation & Configuration

Task: Install and configure the latest stable version of WordPress on the specified hosting environment.
Success Criteria:
* WordPress installed with required user roles.
* Site environment (staging/production) clearly separated and documented.

4. Theme and Plugin Setup

Task: Install and configure Elementor and Yoast SEO.
Success Criteria:
* Elementor and Yoast installed, activated, and tested.
* Custom theme or child theme created if necessary.

5. Content Migration

Task: Migrate all static HTML pages, content, images, and downloadable assets into WordPress using Elementor layouts.
Success Criteria:
* All content migrated with formatting intact.
* Utilize new content to replace existing content, as directed.
* Images optimized and correctly placed.
* Visual parity with old site or approved enhancements.

6. Responsive Design

Task: Ensure all pages are mobile-responsive using Elementor’s design tools.
Success Criteria:
* All pages tested across major screen sizes (desktop, tablet, mobile).
* Passes Google Mobile-Friendly Test.

7. SEO Configuration (Yoast)

Task: Configure SEO settings using Yoast.
Success Criteria:
* Title, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, and OG tags set.
* XML sitemap generated and submitted.
* No critical SEO errors in Yoast.

8. 301 Page Redirects

Task: Implement 301 redirects from old URLs to new WordPress URLs.
Success Criteria:
* Redirect map created and implemented.
* All former URLs properly redirect (tested using Screaming Frog or similar).
* No 404s on launch.

9. DNS Configuration

Task: Update DNS records to point to the new WordPress server.
Success Criteria:
* DNS changes documented and executed with minimum downtime.
* Propagation verified globally using DNS checker tools.

10. MX Records Validation (Email Continuity)

Task: Verify and retain or migrate MX records to ensure email is not disrupted.
