"I’ve wired a Spring Cloud API Gateway in front of a Spring Boot micro-service. Every endpoint behaves perfectly in Postman, yet from the browser the preflight OPTIONS request is being rejected and the actual call never reaches the service.

So far I have:
• exposed the routes through the gateway,
• added a CORS configuration class inside the micro-service, and
• verified that the standard Access-Control headers are present when I test with Postman.

Still, the browser refuses the call, flagging a CORS preflight problem.

I need someone who can quickly inspect the gateway filters, global CORS settings and any missing headers, show me why the OPTIONS handshake fails, and patch the configuration so GET/POST/PUT requests flow from any modern browser without errors.

Please be comfortable with Spring Cloud Gateway filters, WebFlux or Servlet stack nuances, and typical browser CORS quirks. Once you’re done I expect:
1. updated gateway and/or micro-service config committed (Java or YAML)
2. evidence of successful cross-origin calls demonstrated in a browser dev-tools console
