Project description:
"I’m building a browser-based augmented-reality experience centered on AR navigation and need a developer who can wire the whole flow together. The experience must run entirely on the Web, capture the camera stream through WebRTC (getUserMedia), and then overlay live directional cues onto the video feed so that users can follow a route in real space right from their phones or laptops—no native app downloads.
Here’s the vision: when the user grants camera permission, the page immediately opens their rear-facing camera, detects orientation/position, and anchors arrows, waypoints, and distance markers on top of the live feed. Think of a heads-up path finder that can guide someone around a venue or outdoor location. The solution should lean on WebXR or [login to view URL] for the rendering layer, while WebRTC handles the camera pipeline. Accuracy and performance on mobile Chrome and Safari are key.
Deliverables
• A single-page web app (HTML, JS, CSS) implementing WebRTC camera access, AR navigation overlays, and a simple demo route
• Clear build/run instructions plus any npm scripts or bundler settings needed
• Brief technical documentation explaining major modules, third-party libraries used, and how to swap in new routes or POIs
• Tested on at least two modern mobile browsers (Chrome / Safari) with video evidence or screenshots confirming overlay alignment
If you’ve shipped Web-based AR, especially navigation overlays, I’d love to see a quick screencap or link. Looking forward to collaborating on this." (client-provided description)
