Project description:
"About the Company
We operate a consumer-facing web application that allows users to earn rewards by testing apps, games, and completing offers. The platform is live, in production, and actively used by real users. It integrates third-party services, user authentication, and dynamic content to deliver a smooth, reliable experience.
Our focus is on building a stable, trustworthy, and user-friendly product. We prioritize reliability, performance, and clarity over quick hacks or short-term fixes. As the platform grows, we’re looking for a developer who can help maintain the application, resolve technical issues, and improve the overall user experience.
We value clear communication, thoughtful problem-solving, and developers who take ownership of the systems they work on. This role is intended to be ongoing, supporting both day-to-day maintenance and longer-term improvements as the product evolves.
Clear expectations / deliverables
I need an experienced developer to take over maintenance and ongoing improvements for an existing production web application. Immediate priorities include diagnosing and fixing user login issues related to OAuth authentication, as well as improving overall user experience (usability, flow clarity, and performance). Ongoing responsibilities include bug fixes, updates, optimizations, and general upkeep of the application to ensure stability and smooth operation.
Skills required
Strong experience working with real web applications (not static websites), including frontend JavaScript frameworks, backend APIs, OAuth authentication flows, databases, and debugging live production systems. Ability to work with an existing codebase and make changes safely and efficiently is required.
Communication
Clear and consistent communication is expected. I require short written updates explaining what was done, why it was done, and any risks, issues, or recommended follow-ups.
How we work
Stability is the priority. Access is granted incrementally. I value developers who ask the right questions, document their work, and treat production systems carefully." (client-provided description)
