Project description:
"I own an Airbnb and want every guest who turns on the Roku TV to be greeted by a polished, modern-looking welcome screen built as a simple Roku channel/app. The screen should:
• greet them with a personalized welcome message (I’ll pass the guest name via a simple text field or JSON)
• show Wi-Fi network and password clearly
• outline my check-in and check-out instructions in an easy-to-read format
Interaction will be minimal—just basic remote navigation such as up/down to scroll longer text or an “OK” to dismiss. No deep menus or extra pages are needed.
Visual style must feel modern and sleek: clean typography, subtle animation or fade-in is fine, but nothing busy. I’m picturing a full-screen hero image with overlay text, all responsive to different Roku resolutions.
Deliverables
1. Side-loaded Roku channel package (.pkg) ready for me to publish privately.
2. Source code (BrightScript / SceneGraph) with clear comments so I can update text or images later.
3. Quick README explaining how to change static assets, push updates, and set the channel to auto-launch on TV start-up.
Acceptance criteria
• Loads within 3 seconds on current Roku OS.
• Text and images render crisply on HD and 4K models.
• Navigation limited to the basic interactions described above, with no unexpected exits to the Roku home screen.
If you’ve built lightweight Roku experiences before, especially welcome or info channels, I’d love to see a sample." (client-provided description)
