"I need a PHP-based web application that functions as a lightweight content-management system with rock-solid, secure file-upload capabilities at its core. The uploader must accept common document and image types, enforce size limits, sanitize filenames, scan for malware, and store the files in an organised directory structure while recording the relevant metadata in a MySQL (or MariaDB) table. A simple dashboard page should let me browse, preview, download, and delete the uploaded assets.

Anything beyond file handling—such as user authentication or in-browser content editing—can remain optional extras for a later phase, but please architect the code cleanly (MVC or a recognised framework like Laravel, Symfony, or even well-structured vanilla PHP) so those features can slot in without rewrites.

Deliverables
• Complete PHP source code and SQL schema
• Brief README covering setup, environment requirements, and any composer dependencies
• Postman collection or cURL examples for testing the upload endpoint
• A demo link or video that proves large and small files pass through successfully under typical shared-hosting limits

I will test by uploading several images (2–5 MB) plus a PDF, then verifying that they appear in the dashboard, that direct URL access is blocked unless routed through the script, and that MIME spoofing fails gracefully.
