I’m planning to build a bulk-email solution that can comfortably move between SMTP relays, modern API endpoints (SendGrid, Mailgun, etc.), and POP3/IMAP for incoming mail handling or bounce processing. The core objective is straightforward: push large volumes of messages quickly and reliably while keeping the option to read replies or pull bounce data without switching platforms.
Here’s what I expect at a minimum:
• A sending engine that lets me toggle between SMTP credentials, token-based APIs, and—where useful—POP3/IMAP workflows.
• A clean UI or command-line wrapper where I can upload CSV lists, map fields, and trigger sends.
• Basic deliverability safeguards (throttling, retry logic, SPF/DKIM friendly headers).
• Source code handed over, with build/run instructions and a short read-me so I can deploy on my own server (Linux preferred).
If you already have extras such as template editing, list-segment tools, or open/click analytics, let me know—they’re welcome but not essential for this first milestone.
Acceptance criteria:
1. I can connect at least one working SMTP account, one REST-API sender, and one POP3/IMAP mailbox, send a test campaign, and view success/bounce feedback.
2. The app performs a 2,000-email batch in under 15 minutes on a modest VPS with no errors logged.
3. All configuration settings persist after restart.
Feel free to recommend frameworks or libraries you trust (Python + Django/Flask, Node.js, Go—whatever suits the job) as long as installation remains straightforward.
