"I need a fully-functional Slack bot built from the ground up. The bot’s exact duties are still open for discussion, but it should comfortably handle the usual Slack automation patterns—sending notifications to channels or DMs, responding to slash or message commands, and chaining simple workflows so routine tasks no longer eat up team time. If you have ideas on additional value-adds (scheduled reminders, smart reactions, lightweight approvals), I’m keen to hear them.

The tech stack is flexible. I regularly work with Python and Node.js, so either the Slack Bolt SDK for Python or JavaScript would slot neatly into our environment. If another language or framework better suits long-term maintenance, let’s talk about it before coding starts.

I may eventually want the bot to hook into tools we already use—Google Drive for file hand-offs, Trello for card automation, GitHub for pull-request reminders—so please keep the architecture modular enough that such integrations can be dropped in later without a rewrite.

Deliverables (at a minimum)
• Clean, well-commented source code in a private repo
• A short README covering setup, environment variables, and deployment
• One-click (or single command) deploy script—Heroku, AWS Lambda, or containerised, whichever we decide
• Quick Loom or text walkthrough showing the bot in action inside a test Slack workspace

Once the bot joins my workspace, I’ll run a short acceptance test: trigger at least three different actions, verify error handling if a user mistypes a command, and check logging so we can trace issues in production. Pass those checks and we’re done." (client-provided description)
