"We are looking to develop a mobile application that enables users to list and discover nearby vehicles/equipment available for short-term rental.

The application will function as a peer-to-peer rental marketplace, where:
• One set of users can list vehicles/equipment they own
• Another set of users can search, view, and request to rent those vehicles/equipment

This engagement is for Phase 1 development only (foundational version of the product).

2. Scope of Work – Phase 1 Application

The purpose of this phase is to build a working, production-ready application with essential marketplace functionality only.

User Roles

• Lister (Owner): Can list vehicles/equipment for rent
• Renter (Seeker): Can browse and request rentals
• Admin: Can manage users and listings

Core Functional Requirements

User Authentication

• Mobile number login with OTP
• Basic user profile (name, phone number, location)

Listing Creation

• Create a listing for a vehicle/equipment
• Fields:
• Category/type
• Title/name
• Photos (limited)
• Rental price (hour/day based)
• Location
• Availability status
• Edit / deactivate listings

Search & Discovery

• Browse available listings
• Filter by:
• Category/type
• Location
• Simple list view (no advanced maps required)

Rental Request Flow

• Select listing
• Select date(s)
• Send rental request
• Listing owner can accept or reject request

Communication

• Contact listing owner via:
• Phone call or/and
• External messaging (e.g., WhatsApp link)

Admin Panel (Basic)

• View and manage users
• View and moderate listings
• Block or remove inappropriate content
• View basic usage metrics

3. Non-Functional Requirements

• Simple and clean UI
• Optimized for low-to-moderate internet connectivity
• Scalable backend architecture
• Secure authentication and data storage
• Clean, documented codebase

4. Out of Scope for Phase 1

The following features are explicitly excluded from this phase:
• In-app payments
• Wallets or commissions
• Ratings and reviews
• Subscriptions
• Advanced analytics
• Multi-language support

These may be part of future phases.

5. Technology Expectations

Developers may suggest the best stack, but preference is:
• Cross-platform mobile development
• Cloud backend (scalable)
• Admin dashboard (web-based)

6. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

This project and all related concepts, workflows, and code are confidential.

Required Conditions:

• Complete IP ownership of the source code, designs, and documentation will belong to us
• Full source code must be handed over upon completion
• No reuse or resale of the code or concept
• NDA can be signed before detailed discussions
• Developer/company must agree to confidentiality

10. Long-Term Engagement

If Phase 1 is successful:
