"I have a working Bluetooth application that now needs a focused upgrade. The priorities are clear: first, make its connectivity rock-solid; second, broaden the range of hardware it can talk to. The codebase already runs on both iOS and Android, but I want the refresh to treat the two platforms as equals—no feature lag on either side. On Android, the UI is primarily used on tablets, so please keep tablet screen sizes and orientation changes in mind when you refactor any views or pairing flows.

Bluetooth-wise, the goal is faster discovery, more stable bonding, and graceful reconnection after signal loss. You’ll likely dive into CoreBluetooth on iOS and the latest Android BLE stack, optimise the connection logic, tighten the retry mechanisms, and verify that multi-device handling does not degrade performance. I’m keen to see a clean abstraction layer that keeps the platform-specific code contained so future maintenance stays simple.

Because additional device support is part of the brief, I’ll supply a short list of new peripherals we want to certify against. You’ll test with those, plus any others you have on hand, and document the steps so QA can reproduce results. If you spot security gaps while you’re in the code, flag them—we may scope an extra milestone for enhanced security later, but it isn’t included in this sprint.
