"Android AOSP Framework Engineer – External Camera Only (Pixel 8a / Android 16)

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THIS IS A HIGHLY SPECIFIC SYSTEM-LEVEL PROJECT

I’m looking for a senior Android framework / AOSP engineer with real experience modifying CameraService / CameraProviderManager.

This is not an app project.
This is not HAL/vendor work.
This is not exploratory or research-based.

Technical Objective (non-negotiable)

Device: Pixel 8a (akita)
OS: Android 16 (AOSP-based)

Expose ONLY ONE external USB UVC camera at framework level.

Required behavior:

No internal / legacy cameras registered

No internal camera providers visible

Camera ID 0 → BACK

Camera ID 1 → FRONT

Both IDs backed by the same external UVC device

Stock Camera app must work normally

Play Integrity must pass (no spoofing, no hacks)

Mandatory Validation

The final build must satisfy all of the following:
