Project description:
"I need a developer to handle a few functional updates on my existing site. The goal is to refine performance, concentrating on practical, user-visible improvements rather than deep architectural work.
Here’s what I’m aiming for:
• Add several new internal links so key pages are easier to reach in fewer clicks.
• Enlarge specific images that currently feel cramped, making sure the new sizes load efficiently on both desktop and mobile.
Although these sound simple, I want the changes implemented cleanly—no layout breaks, no regressions, and minimal impact on page-load speed. You’re free to choose the best method (lazy-loading, compressed assets, responsive image tags, etc.) so long as the end result keeps the site fast and the user journey smooth.
You’ll work directly on the live codebase (HTML/CSS/JavaScript; a light PHP back-end) via Git. Please commit granularly so I can review each tweak. Once the links and image sizes are updated, I’d like a quick before-and-after report on load time and any Lighthouse score changes for the affected pages.
I expect this to be a short engagement for someone fluent in front-end adjustments and basic performance tuning, and I’m ready to start as soon as you are." (client-provided description)
