Project description:
"I need a skilled C#/.NET developer to extend and polish my current web solution. The work splits into three complementary tracks:
• UI/UX refresh – I want the navigation menus to look cleaner and more modern, with updated visual elements (icons, hover states, subtle animations). The layout and overall flow stay intact; the goal is a fresh coat of paint that feels cohesive across desktop and mobile.
• Performance optimisation – Page-load time and server response have to drop noticeably. Profiling, refactoring hot spots, tightening SQL queries, and smart caching are all on the table as long as the end result is a snappier experience without functional regressions.
• New feature implementation – A small, self-contained module (briefed after NDA) must be added to the existing codebase. It will slot into the current MVC architecture, respect our existing API layer, and follow the same coding conventions.
Acceptance criteria
1. Updated navigation renders correctly in the latest versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox.
2. Lighthouse performance score improves by at least 15 points on the main user journey.
3. New module compiles cleanly, passes unit tests, and is covered by concise inline documentation.
Tech stack in play: C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, JavaScript, and Git for version control. Access to a staging server and the current repository will be granted as soon as we agree on the timeline.
If you have solid experience squeezing extra speed out of .NET applications while refining their look and rolling in fresh features, this should be a straightforward, well-scoped engagement." (client-provided description)
